Dog Day at the Oak Park Pool (248-691-7555) – Each registered dog receives a gift and a 55 minute dog-only swim session. Different 55 minute blocks of time per weight of dog. The owners must provide proof of current vaccinations and a dog license before the dog is allowed entry. All dogs must be at least four months old. Dogs displaying aggressive behavior will be asked to leave without refund. Register your dog and learn about cost info at 248-691-7555 and indicate your dog’s weight (under 30 lbs, 30-69 lbs, or 70 lbs plus)
Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Dog Swim – at Waterford Oaks County Park. All dogs owners must show valid Michigan dog license and proof of current vaccinations at the time of the event. Dogs swim by weight category. Three swims. Noon-12:50p – 70lbs plus, 1p-1:50p – 31lbs-69lbs, 2p-2:50p – 30lbs and under. Pre-registration cost is $10/dog and includes admission, contest entry and one 50-minute swim session. On-site registration is $15/dog if availability allows. To register, call 248-858-0916. Barkin’ In The Park at Gilbert Willis P (248-624-2850). Hosted by Wixom Parks & Rec. Food, dog walking trail fun pet vendors, K9 show, talent show, and more. A pet photographer will be on hand All pets must be on a leash. This is a FREE event to attend.
Spencer Park Bass Tournament – The Park Bass Tournament is open to ALL AGES and SKILL LEVELS. All fishing is done from shore and there will be prizes for the most bass caught and also for the largest bass. Tournament participation is $5. Participants receive free park vehicle entry. Stonewall Pumpkin Festival at Van Hoosen Farms – This year’s Stonewall Pumpkin Festival returns to Van Hoosen Farms in Rochester Hills from 10a-4p (Pumpkin Carving and Fall activities) and 7p-9p where people will be allowed to view the lit pumpkins on the wall. Hosted by the City of Rochester Hills.
Wag-O-Ween – Get your pup dressed up and ready for Halloween at the dog costume contest! Three weight category contests where winners will be chosen in each weight category. Limited to the first 40 dogs registered in each weight category. Enjoy the complimentary photo booth. Hosted by The Mall at Partridge Creek.
Troy Daisy Knight Dog Park Halloween Events – Howl-O-Ween – Bring your costumed dog to the puppy patch to play and show off their costume. Photo spot, treats, and dog park access included. Register by 10/27. $5 Dog Park Member / $8 Resident / $11 Non Resident. Half-hour time slots scheduled by dog weight. Pre-registration required. Registration link.
Detroit Grand Circus Dog Park Halloween Costume Party – Owners are encouraged to dress their pets to impress for a chance to win a prize in one of these categories: Best Costume, Scariest Costume, Most Creative Costume, and the Best Pet & Parent combination. The annual event will also feature Halloween Themed games and gifts for dogs as well as treats for their parents and DJ spinning tracks. Hosted by the Downtown Detroit Partnership.

Lake Orion / Orion Twp Easter Bunny Bop – at Orion Center 9:30a, 11a, & 12:30p (3 different sessions)
Photo visit with a special bunny, refreshments, craft projects an egg hunt with toys and candy-stuffed eggs and a few other surprises. Bring your own basket for filling with candy and prizes. Youth will be broken down by age for equal opportunity hunting for all. Pre-registration required, spaces are limited. Egg hunt will be held indoors in the event of inclement weather.
