Troy Maple Syrup Time
Troy Maple Syrup Time – at Stage Nature Center. Take a guided tour through the sugar bush of the Stage Nature Center to discover how maple trees make sugar and how people have harvested it through the ages. This family-friendly program highlights natural and local history of our region. Tour includes a visit to the sugar shed to see a wood-stoked evaporator in action and activities to learn more about syrup making. Everyone will sample maple treats and children will have an opportunity to make a simple craft. Shop for Michigan-made maple syrup, cream, candy and more. Tours every 15 minutes. Commerce Glow in the Dark Egg Hunt – at Oak Valley Middle School. Games, prizes, a craft, and a special visit

Duck Lake Pines Park Egg Hunt
Duck Lake Pines Park Egg Hunt – a Huron Valley Egg Hunt. Join the Easter Bunny for photos, face painting, goodie bags and more Easter fun. Bring your camera. Egg hunt times are divided into different time increments. Ages 2-10. For more information, call the Chamber office at 248-685-7129. This event is sponsored by Huron Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Ferndale Easter Egg-Stravaganza
Ferndale Easter Egg-Stravaganza – Each hunt is FREE and will feature three parks, with areas for younger children. The schedule is as follows – 1p – Wilson Park (For Ages 1-4 Only); 1:30p – Geary Park; 2p – Martin Road Park.
At each site, children will have the opportunity to gather as many prize-filled eggs as they can. One egg in each section contains a special golden ticket that will grant its finder with a special Easter basket. Geary Park and Martin Road Park will each have an area dedicated to younger children (ages 1-4) and older children (ages 5-11). At Martin Road Park, children and parents will have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with the Easter Bunny. This is a FREE event, no pre-registration is required, but please consider donating to support Ferndale P&R programming. Hosted by Ferndale Parks & Recreation. Sheep Shearing and Pancake Breakfast – (248-674-5441, www.waterfordmi.gov)
Hosted by Waterford Parks & Recreation. Enjoy the farm animals, make & take craft, the annual sheep shearing, and a pancake breakfast. Admission is FREE but donations are being accepted to benefit the park/farm. Pancake breakfast cost is $5 for 10 & under and $8 for ages 11+.

Ferndale Memorial Day Parade
Ferndale Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony – Downtown Ferndale Michigan
The parade begins on Livernois at Maplehurst, north to Oakridge St, west to Pinecrest, south to Nine Mile Rd, east to Livernois, and south on Livernois to the Veteran’s Memorial Mall for ceremony at 11a. Hosted by the Ferndale Memorial Association.

Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade
Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade – 11a (lineup) / Parade at 11:30a at Sylvan Lake City Hall and Memorial Park.
The Parade will begin at 11:30a at City Hall and end at Memorial Park with a brief ceremony. Kids are welcome to decorate their bikes and participate in the parade. Veterans that wish to participate are asked to contact Jim Smith at 248-904-9085 to be recognized at Memorial Park ceremony. Kids can begin decorating their bikes for the bike parade (with supplies provided) at City Hall at 10:30a. If you would like to volunteer at the parade / ceremony please contact sylvanlakeparade@gmail.com.

Geary Park Skate Jam
Geary Park Skate Jam at Geary Skate Park. Skate contests presented by Ferndale Parks & Recreation. This event will feature
competitions in 4 categories: skateboarding, inline skating, BMX, and scooters. Participants will showcase their skills and compete for the coveted 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in each category.
