Walk through the beautiful Burgh Historical park and enjoy the sights of Halloween. There will be trick or treating stations throughout the park. Winter Sky Treasures – Register with the Oakland Township Parks/Rec to join the Oakland Astronomy Club at Marsh View Park for live telescopic views of the first quarter Moon, the stellar nursery in Orion, and the bright stars of the Winter skies using video cameras and monitors. Lake Orion Easter Egg Hunt at Children’s Park – S Broadway St, Downtown Lake Orion. Children ages 10 and under are invited to hunt for eggs at Children’s Park on S Broadway. Immediately following, everyone is invited for pizza and pop across the street at the American Legion Hall, 164 S Broadway. This is a FREE, rain or shine event hosted by the Lake Orion American Legion Post 233.
Grosse Pointe Art Fair – $7 admission plus A Ford House grounds pass. A juried fine art and fine artisan fair in the newly built visitor center at the historic Ford Estate in Grosse Pointe Shores. The Big Reveal Milford Christmas Event – Stores on Main Street in Downtown Milford reveal festive holiday Christmas and holiday window displays to their stores. Come downtown and watch the kids “unwrap” the storefronts. Local merchants will wrap their storefronts on Tuesday, get busy, and reveal their holiday best on Thursday night. Motown Museum Job Fair
Motown Museum Job Fair at the Motown Museum Hitsville. The museum has several positions to fill – now is your chance to learn about them and meet the Motown Museum team. You have the opportunity to land the perfect summer or permanent job – being surrounded by the inspirational space where so many greats like Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross and countless others got their story started. Positions available include roles in administration, retail, guest services, programming and education, and archive and collection management. Per Oakland Twp Parks and Rec: Oakland Township’s Winter Carnival on January 27 has been cancelled due to poor field conditions. The Bear Creek Nature Park field is currently waterlogged and slushy as a result of the warming weather, snow melt, and rain.
