Winterfests highlight outdoor winter fun with sledding, ice-skating, food and more! There is no shortage of things to do at the 2023 Metro Detroit Winter Festivals.

Bloomfield Hills Winter Fun – Bower Farms Winter Park

Skating – Weather permitting and bring your own skates. Admission is $5. Skating is FREE, skate rental is $8. Winter Park has much to offer including tubing and glow tubing (appointments required), ice skating (weather permitting, bring your own skates), hot cocoa, bonfires, food at the Farmers Kitchen and more. Tubing (unfortunately) isn’t FREE (it’s actually quite expensive) and you have to pre-register which takes the starch out of a spur-of-the-moment experience. REVIEW / PICS / MORE INFO

The Snowglow will include ice sculptures lining the streets, live ice carving demonstrations, FIREWORKS on Friday AND Saturday evening, and, of course… The Big, Bright Light Show. Don’t miss carvings of your holiday favorites and many more. Also on Saturday, visitors are invited to enjoy an Ice Carving Competition on West Fourth Street. Downtown Lake Orion & Downtown Oxford
Lake Orion DDA and Oxford DDA are hosting Ice Fest. All month you can walk through both downtowns and marvel at ice carvings. Every Thursday in February Lake Orion will be host to live ice carvings from 5-8p and you can travel back and forth between Lake Orion & Oxford with a complimentary shuttle. Warming Hubs will be available in Lake Orion’s Flint Alleyway, the corner of Anderson & Flint and at the American Legion.

Winter Family Fun Day is FREE! This is now a pop-up event meaning the Village of Beverly Hills will announce 2022 dates in advance “weather permitting”. Activities MAY include – sledding, ice skating, cross country skiing, warm drinks, a snow cave, winter golf, winter softball and snacks in the pavilion by the fire depending on weather and volunteers.
