Indian Springs Metropark Santa’s Candy Cane Trail – Take a stroll along the candy cane trail for a chance to meet a variety of winter characters. You’ll even get a magical chance to see Santa before his big night. Write your letters to Santa at home and stop by Santa’s mailbox during the program to deliver your letters. Oakland Twp Winter Carnival – at Bear Creek Nature Park. FREE Park & Shuttle At Rochester Christian Church (4435 Rochester Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48306, 248-652-3353). Per Oakland Twp Parks and Rec: Oakland Township’s Winter Carnival on January 27 has been cancelled due to poor field conditions. The Bear Creek Nature Park field is currently waterlogged and slushy as a result of the warming weather, snow melt, and rain.
