Light Up Beacon Park
Light Up Beacon Park is family fun at Beacon Park in Detroit. Children of all ages are invited to experience “Toyland” at Beacon Park with larger-than-life light features, including a Choo-Choo Train, Giant Teddy Bear and other photo moments. These new and returning interactive lighting features, totaling more than 125,000 twinkling LED lights will illuminate Beacon Park. Opening Night 11/18 from 5p-11:30p features dancers, live entertainment, live reindeer, Santa, and more. Hosted by the Downton Detroit Partnership.

Farmington Hills Try Hockey for FREE – “Try Hockey for Free” Clinics are a great way for boys and girls ages 12 and under to try out the sport of hockey without having to make the investment into equipment. There’s no experience necessary – Suburban Ice provide the instructors and the equipment for you to use. Pre-registration required to save your child’s spot here. Flint Children’s Museum Egg Hunt – The Flint Children’s Museum Egg-cellent Easter Egg Hunt has multiple
time slots – 11a, 1p, & 3p (Sensory-Friendly at 4p) www.flintchildrensmuseum.org Play in the museum, visit with the Easter Bunny, and participate in the Egg Hunt. $4 per child, bag included. Pre-register at 810-767-KIDS. Hosted by the Flint Children’s Museum.

Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade
Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade – 11a (lineup) / Parade at 11:30a at Sylvan Lake City Hall and Memorial Park.
The Parade will begin at 11:30a at City Hall and end at Memorial Park with a brief ceremony. Kids are welcome to decorate their bikes and participate in the parade. Veterans that wish to participate are asked to contact Jim Smith at 248-904-9085 to be recognized at Memorial Park ceremony. Kids can begin decorating their bikes for the bike parade (with supplies provided) at City Hall at 10:30a. If you would like to volunteer at the parade / ceremony please contact sylvanlakeparade@gmail.com.

Sylvan Lake Fireworks
Sylvan Lake Fireworks at Dusk – Displayed over Sylvan Lake. Best viewing spots along the lake closest to Downtown Sylvan Lake.
Oakland County Boat Club Fireworks shot over Sylvan Lake. Fireworks start at dusk. There is no parking on the streets. Paid parking will be available at the Community Center. Buy a parking pass from City Hall starting in June. Hosted by the City of Sylvan Lake and the Oakland County Boat Club.
