This free clinic is a opportunity to test drive the sport of platform tennis. Extra equipment available on site for first time players or those who do not have their own paddles or paddle balls. Pontiac’s Annual Community Autism Event – This is a FREE event. Donations are accepted. The event will consist of over 15 different activity stations for the children to make, create and play however they’d like. Hockey Mentors for Special Olympians – Hockey Mentors offers an afternoon of free hockey and ice skating for individuals with any type of special needs, whether that is cognitive, physical or emotional, their family and caregivers. The family friendly event, taking place in two of the Troy Sports Center rinks, includes skate rental, hockey equipment, lunch, t-shirt for those skating and a jersey for guests trying out hockey. Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Dog Swim – at Waterford Oaks County Park. All dogs owners must show valid Michigan dog license and proof of current vaccinations at the time of the event. Dogs swim by weight category. Three swims. Noon-12:50p – 70lbs plus, 1p-1:50p – 31lbs-69lbs, 2p-2:50p – 30lbs and under. Pre-registration cost is $10/dog and includes admission, contest entry and one 50-minute swim session. On-site registration is $15/dog if availability allows. To register, call 248-858-0916.
