The Playground was designed to address issues of accessibility and promote inclusive play. (The project meets requirements set by the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). The playscape was made possible thanks to a $250,000 grant received by W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

Look for an “up north woods” cabin, tree fort play structure, sand dunes area, marsh with cattails, raised sand play area and multiple climbing areas. Paradise Peninsula is a sprawling playscape that sits amidst a pavilion, platform tennis courts, and sand volleyball courts. Parts of Paradise Peninsula is fenced in but many areas are open so it’s very easy to lose a child if you’re not paying attention. The playscape also has plenty of blindspots thanks to design. Extra caution is needed when supervising children playing at this playground.

Paradise Peninsula is located just east of the Waterford Oaks Waterpark. Waterford Oaks County Park complex also features a waterpark, BMX track, sled hill, and more.
