Bowers Farms Winter Park – Wednesdays, 5p-9p, Thursdays 5p-9p, Fridays 4p-10p, Saturdays noon-10p, Sundays noon-9p
Skating – Weather permitting and bring your own skates. Admission is $5. Skating is FREE, skate rental is $8. Winter Park has much to offer including tubing and $17 glow tubing (appointments required), ice skating (weather permitting, bring your own skates), hot cocoa, bonfires, food at the Farmers Kitchen and more. Tubing (unfortunately) isn’t FREE (it’s actually quite expensive) and you have to pre-register which takes the starch out of a spur-of-the-moment experience.

Troy Maple Syrup Time – at Stage Nature Center. Take a guided tour through the sugar bush of the Stage Nature Center to discover how maple trees make sugar and how people have harvested it through the ages. This family-friendly program highlights natural and local history of our region. Tour includes a visit to the sugar shed to see a wood-stoked evaporator in action and activities to learn more about syrup making. Everyone will sample maple treats and children will have an opportunity to make a simple craft. Shop for Michigan-made maple syrup, cream, candy and more. Tours every 15 minutes. South Lyon Daddy Daughter Dance – 3p-5p or 6p-8p (2 sessions to choose from). Open to non-residents. 70s Theme. The dance is broken down into two time slots; 3-5pm and 6-8pm. SLARA recommends that children 6 & under sign up for the first time slot. Children 7+ sign up for the 6-8pm time slot. This is only a recommendation, children 3+ are invited to both time slot. South Lyon Easter Egg Scramble – 15,000 fun filled eggs. 4 fields for all age groups. Meet firefighters, police officers, and the Easter Bunny. Event is hosted by Kiwanis Club of South Lyon who recommends arrival between 11a-noon.
