Spring Fling Egg Hunt – Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 4:45p (toddler egg hunt) through 9p – six 45-min time slots available. (flashlight egg hunt for tweens & teens)
Grab eggs and hunt for the golden ones, then turn them in for treats. Mr Bunny will be there, so bring your camera and a basket to carry your goodies. A petting farm and train ride will be available at the event too. Check-in a half hour before your registration time. The hunt begins promptly at the scheduled time on your receipt and all eggs are usually found within 10 minutes. This event will go rain or shine. Sylvan Lake Easter Egg Hunt – To participate please donate a dozen plastic eggs and candy to Sylvan Lake City Hall by 4/6/23. There will be multiple hunts based on age groups. Get your child’s picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Hosted by Sylvan Lake Recreation.
Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade – 11a (lineup) / Parade at 11:30a at Sylvan Lake City Hall and Memorial Park.
The Parade will begin at 11:30a at City Hall and end at Memorial Park with a brief ceremony. Kids are welcome to decorate their bikes and participate in the parade. Veterans that wish to participate are asked to contact Jim Smith at 248-904-9085 to be recognized at Memorial Park ceremony.
West Bloomfield Marshbank Park Camp Out – at Marshbank Park. Enjoy fishing, a craft, tent decorating contest, nature hikes, campfire + s’mores, and more. You can purchase dinner from a food truck or pack a picnic. $10 resident / $12 non-resident. Pre-register here. Hosted by WB Parks.
Troy Stage Nature Center Trick or Treat Among The Trees – A fun and friendly outdoor celebration for kids ages 3-9. Costumed kids are welcome to hike the woodland pumpkin trail with a SNC guide. Children will learn the secrets of the forest and receive treats and meet costumed characters. Dress for weather. Fee is $14.50. FREE for parents/guardians. Santa Visits at Stage Nature Center
Santa Visits at Stage Nature Center is Hosted by the Troy Nature Society. Visit times vary. The visits will take place outside, weather permitting. Bring your letter with a return address for Santa to take with him to the North Pole. Santa will send a letter back to you. At the visit, each child will receive the materials and directions for a special craft to make at home and a special gift bag from Santa. Ages 3-8. $12.
