Stony Creek Metropark Maple Sugaring – March 6, 13, 20, & 27 from 10a-3p (1 hour sessions). Learn the history of sugaring and how to identify maple trees. Hike into the spring woods to tap a maple. Afterwards, return to the campfire and learn the process of boiling sap into rich maple syrup. Face coverings and social distancing are required. All ages. $5 per person. Southfield Halloween Trunk or Treat – Instead of going door-to-door, kids will go from car-to-car, stopping to get treats out of the trunks of vehicles. Dress in your best costume, decorate your trunk, and give out delicious treats. Prizes will be rewarded for the best trunk and the best costume.
