Blake’s Cider Mill Funland – Kids can enjoy hayrides, trike track, straw mountain, corn mazes, Bunnyville farm, a petting farm, and many Halloween attractions every day in September and October. Must purchase a day pass to the event to receive the hayrides, they don’t sell hayride pass tickets ala carte. Blake’s books private hayride and private bonfire events for groups on weekends late September through late October. You can even add meals to the packages!
Waterford Oaks County Park FREE Platform Tennis Open House – Waterford Oaks County Park Near Paradise Peninsula Playscape. This free clinic is a opportunity to test drive the sport of platform tennis. Extra equipment available on site for first time players or those who do not have their own paddles or paddle balls. Instruction from Waterford Paddle Club. Dress for the weather. Tennis shoes required for the courts. No membership required for clinic. No pre-registration or previous experience needed. BubBalloonaChicks Bubble Show Magic – Bubble and balloon artistry. BubBalloonaChicks will transport you into the magical world of mega bubbles, billions of bubbles, amoeba shaped bubbles and other bubble tricks. Blake’s Lyon Township Fall Kick-off Celebration – Free Funland admission from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (jumping pillows, John Deere Speedway, Amish play structures, Mr. Bones Outhouse, Hillbilly Wagon, and animal petting farm. Live music, food trucks, cider garden. $1 from every dozen donuts and u-pick apple bags will be donated to South Lyon based charity Active Faith
Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Dog Swim – at Waterford Oaks County Park. All dogs owners must show valid Michigan dog license and proof of current vaccinations at the time of the event. Dogs swim by weight category. Three swims. Noon-12:50p – 70lbs plus, 1p-1:50p – 31lbs-69lbs, 2p-2:50p – 30lbs and under. Pre-registration cost is $10/dog and includes admission, contest entry and one 50-minute swim session. On-site registration is $15/dog if availability allows. To register, call 248-858-0916. Tollgate Farm Pumpkinfest at MSU Tollgate Farm. Take a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch to pick your perfect pumpkin. Many events FREE, some with small fees. Food, music, farm animals, educational exhibits, and children’s activities all make for a fun fall outing for all ages. $5 per person, 3 and under FREE.
