This celebration will give visitors the opportunity to experience hands-on activities designed around exploring the environment, including… create and race a Michigan freshwater jellyfish, origami fish craft, meet the “Dirt Doctors”, hands on demos, animal tracking, and more. All of the activities are FREE with the purchase of general admission.

Cranbrook Art Museum Open Studios – Explore the studios of Cranbrook Academy of Art graduate students; Purchase work from emerging student artists; Receive free admission to Cranbrook Art Museum, Cranbrook House and Gardens, Cranbrook Institute of Science (paid admission required for SUE: The T-rex Experience and the Acheson Planetarium); Free self-guided tours of Saarinen House; Food trucks and hands-on art activities for children

Family Day at Cranbrook – (cranbrookartmuseum.org) Explore and experience art and design through hands-on, minds-on activities. Explore the galleries through guided activities and get your hands messy with educators in the Art Lab. Imagine, build, and create at a variety of art-making stations. Spencer Park Bass Tournament – The Park Bass Tournament is open to ALL AGES and SKILL LEVELS. All fishing is done from shore and there will be prizes for the most bass caught and also for the largest bass. Tournament participation is $5. Participants receive free park vehicle entry. Stonewall Pumpkin Festival at Van Hoosen Farms – This year’s Stonewall Pumpkin Festival returns to Van Hoosen Farms in Rochester Hills from 10a-4p (Pumpkin Carving and Fall activities) and 7p-9p where people will be allowed to view the lit pumpkins on the wall. Hosted by the City of Rochester Hills.
Commerce Halloween Trunk or Treat – A fun-filled afternoon of trick-or-treating, free giveaways, and more. Dress up in your favorite costume and bring your family and friends along to enjoy the festivities. This is a FREE event. For more info, email David@edgekb.com.

Detroit Santa Claus Pet Photos at K-9 Pet Supplies. Detroit K-9 Pet Supplies invites you to bring your whole family – including your pets – to have pictures taken with Santa. Photos will be taken by Detroit K-9 staff and sent to attendees by text or email. Animals of all kinds are welcome at the event; dogs must be on a leash and all other animals must be in a carrier.
