Foster Care Orientation Meeting
Foster Care Orientation meeting at the Ennis Center for Children are for anyone interested in learning more about how to become a licensed foster parent. The orientation is the first step towards becoming a licensed foster parent with Ennis Center for Children. Information is provided about the types of children in care, how they enter care, and the process/skills needed to become a licensed foster parent. Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 5p-7p at each local Ennis office. Virtual meetings are held via ZOOM every 3rd Tuesday of the month. For more info, www.enniscenter.org
West Bloomfield Winter Solstice Celebration
West Bloomfield Winter Solstice Celebration at Recreation Activities Center – Celebrate the most magical and darkest night of the year and the slow return of the sun. Walk the glowing trail. Activity stations will be set up throughout this experience: create a glowing craft; Oakland Astronomy Club will be guiding you through the night sky with telescopes (weather permitting); A custom glowing ice carving will be on display for a photo op; Roast a marshmallow around the fire; Learn about nature in winter. This event is mostly outside; dress accordingly. Ages 3+. Resident $7 / non-resident $9. Pre-register here. Hosted by WB Parks.
