Troy Community Center Toddler Open Play at the Fitness Center – (248-524-3484). Free for fitness members

or purchase a Day Pass. New opportunity for the youngest patrons to work on gross motor and socialization skills, while burning off energy in the cold-weather months. The gym will have a variety of age appropriate toys to ride, push, or explore. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an individual aged 16 or older. Birmingham Memorial Day Events – The annual observance of Memorial Day in Shain Park includes addresses by the Mayor and State Representative, patriotic music, and an introduction of veterans. Clarkston Memorial Day Event

Clarkston Memorial Day Event at Lakeview Cemetery. Event includes the Color Guard performing a rifle

volley, raising of the flag and the playing of Taps, the Clarkston High School Band and Ladies in Mourning. For more information, call 248-625-9912 after 4p. This year, due to concerns over closing the road, there will be no parade. Hosted by American Legion Campbell-Richmond Post 63 and Independence Twp.

Farmington Memorial Day Parade

Farmington Memorial Day Parade – at the Intersection of Grand River & Orchard Lake Road on Grand River Avenue, between Orchard Lake Road and downtown Farmington. The event ends with a ceremony at Memorial Park at Grand River Avenue & Oakland Street, followed by a free community luncheon hosted at the American Legion. The Parade Committee is looking for volunteers who would like to join the team and help organize and manage the event.
