Celebrate Birmingham Parade and Party
Celebrate Birmingham Parade and Party at Shain Park – the Downtown Birmingham Hometown Parade event
will feature children’s activities, live entertainment and food inside Shain Park immediately following the parade. This event is a celebration of the Birmingham community and schools. Participation offers an opportunity for businesses, organizations, individuals, schools and groups to promote themselves to the community. People of all ages come to town to celebrate and enjoy the family-fun festivities. The half-mile parade route travels through the charming downtown with many shops and restaurants. American Legion Post 216 (510 W Commerce, St. Milford, MI)
Three ceremonies conducted by Highland VFW Post 9914. NOTE – Ceremonies are very brief. Those planning on attending should arrive at the locations well before the scheduled start times. 8a at Highland Cemetery, 8:30a at Highland Veterans Memorial Park, and 9a at West Highland Cemetery. Birmingham Memorial Day Events – The annual observance of Memorial Day in Shain Park includes addresses by the Mayor and State Representative, patriotic music, and an introduction of veterans.
