Canterbury Village Walk for Warmth
Canterbury Village Walk for Warmth – (248-391-5700) Warm a heart, help a home. Join OLHSA for a family friendly afternoon of fun and community at the annual Walk for Warmth. Contributions to Walk for Warmth support emergency services provided by OLHSA that help keep our neighbors safe and warm. Those interested in walking can register at https://fundraise.givesmart.
Entertainment will include the Genisys Band, National Anthem by Vanessa Carr, Huda Jump Rope Team, Detroit Institute of Arts craft tent, Oakland University kids crafts, Oakland County Sheriff’s Therapy Dogs, and Miss Oakland County Teen.
Kensington Metropark Fun on the Farm
Kensington Metropark Fun on the Farm – from 10a-11a OR 1p-2p. Fun on the Farm is an indoor and outdoor children’s series that focuses on different animals and aspects of farming each session. Each program will include a story, hands-on activity, and a chance to get up close and personal with that week’s topic. Ages 2-6. $5 per child / Adults FREE. Royal Oak In Bloom
Royal Oak In Bloom – in the Parking Lots (located at 600 S Main Street and 700 S Main Street as well as 7th Street between Main and Center Street in downtown Royal Oak). Local and regional farmers bring an impressive array of annuals, perennials, herbs, hanging baskets, vegetables and more for your every gardening interest. In addition to the wonderful selection of plants, there will be an abundance of other outdoor items available, including hand-made wind chimes, stepping stones, beaded basket hangers, and even rain barrels. Royal Oak in Bloom is FREE to the public. Take an hour-long guided walk and discover the budding spring wildflowers, chattering birds, and rich habitats. All ages. $3 per child / $5 per adult.
