Clarkston Memorial Day Event
Clarkston Memorial Day Event at Lakeview Cemetery. Event includes the Color Guard performing a rifle
volley, raising of the flag and the playing of Taps, the Clarkston High School Band and Ladies in Mourning. For more information, call 248-625-9912 after 4p. This year, due to concerns over closing the road, there will be no parade. Hosted by American Legion Campbell-Richmond Post 63 and Independence Twp.

Ferndale Memorial Day Parade
Ferndale Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony – Downtown Ferndale Michigan
The parade begins on Livernois at Maplehurst, north to Oakridge St, west to Pinecrest, south to Nine Mile Rd, east to Livernois, and south on Livernois to the Veteran’s Memorial Mall for ceremony at 11a. Hosted by the Ferndale Memorial Association.

Geary Park Skate Jam
Geary Park Skate Jam at Geary Skate Park. Skate contests presented by Ferndale Parks & Recreation. This event will feature
competitions in 4 categories: skateboarding, inline skating, BMX, and scooters. Participants will showcase their skills and compete for the coveted 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in each category. Clarkston Preschool Nature Program at Wint Nature Center (248-625-6473). Children ages 3-6 can enjoy nature fun as they increase their love for the outdoors. A naturalist will engage children with a story, nature talk and a related hands-on activity. Each child will make a craft to take home. A different seasonal theme each month. Cost is $5/child. Mt Clemens Fireworks
Mt Clemens Fireworks at Clinton Riverfront Park. The Independence Day Celebration fireworks will be launched at Dusk (approximately 10p) following a concert. Prime viewing is located throughout Downtown Mount Clemens near the Clinton River waterfront Downtown. NB Gratiot Ave, and the Crocker and Dickinson bridges are closed to vehicle traffic at approximately 7p. For more info, please call the Mt Clemens DDA at 586-469-4168.
