LEGOLAND Discovery Center Homeschool Week – 248-409-6009, During Homeschool Week, you’ll enjoy an educational workshop, supplemental S.T.E.M. education activities and a BRICK-tacular discount. Admission is just $12 per person – that’s a 50% discount! Please note: educational workshops & supplemental activities are not available at this time. LEGOLAND Mini Master Model Builder Competition
LEGOLAND Mini Master Model Builder Competition – LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan (248-409-6009, legolanddiscoverycenter.com/michigan)
Children ages 5-10 are invited to enter this competition. Contestants will compete with other mini LEGO® fans to build their very own creation entirely out of LEGO® bricks. Each Contestant Receives – Free Admission for themselves and 2 family members (or friends), 50% off tickets for up to 4 more guests to watch, A special prize just for participating. Winner will have an opportunity to represent the great ‘Mitten State’ and virtually compete for the title of the Mini Master Model Builder of North America. Register HERE.

Oakland County Parks Pet Wellness Clinic – Independence Oaks – Oakland County Parks Pet Vaccinations clinics for dogs and cats
are low-cost. Pets must either be leashed or brought in a carrier to the events. No appointments are needed to get your pet vaccinated, obtain preventative care, receive microchipping and/or purchase a dog license. Vaccinations, heartworm tests, flea prevention and dewormer are available. For pet safety, bring dogs on a short leash with a snug collar and cats in a carrier. There are no residency requirements. Novi Memorial Day Events
Novi Memorial Day Events – Novi Memorial Day Ceremony. Commemorate the lives of our service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice with a patriotic concert and a flag honor walk. The event will conclude with a wreath laying, playing of Taps, twenty-one-gun salute, and a moment of silence and reflection to remember those who were lost. This event is open to the community. South Lyon Memorial Day Parade
South Lyon Memorial Day Parade – Organized by VFW Post 2502. The parade launches at 9a from Bartlett Elementary and makes its way down 10 Mile through downtown. The parade ends in the South Lyon Cemetery with a ceremony that commemorates the contributions and sacrifices of all veterans. Organized by South Lyon VFW Post 1224.

Parade will begin at Novi Memorial Commons and end at the Novi Civic Center. Hosted by the City of Novi.

Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade
Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade – 11a (lineup) / Parade at 11:30a at Sylvan Lake City Hall and Memorial Park.
The Parade will begin at 11:30a at City Hall and end at Memorial Park with a brief ceremony. Kids are welcome to decorate their bikes and participate in the parade. Veterans that wish to participate are asked to contact Jim Smith at 248-904-9085 to be recognized at Memorial Park ceremony. Kids can begin decorating their bikes for the bike parade (with supplies provided) at City Hall at 10:30a. If you would like to volunteer at the parade / ceremony please contact sylvanlakeparade@gmail.com.

Clarkston Preschool Nature Program at Wint Nature Center (248-625-6473). Children ages 3-6 can enjoy nature fun as they increase their love for the outdoors. A naturalist will engage children with a story, nature talk and a related hands-on activity. Each child will make a craft to take home. A different seasonal theme each month. Cost is $5/child.
