Lake Orion Memorial Day Ceremony
Lake Orion Memorial Day Ceremony – Blanche Sims Elementary School (465 E Jackson St, Lake Orion, MI 48362)
Lake Orion will host brief ceremonies at 9a at Eastlawn Cemetery (37 E Flint Road Lake Orion) and at 10a in Downtown Lake Orion at Children’s Park (201 S Broadway St #335, Lake Orion, MI 48362). A parade will be held in Downtown Lake Orion at Flint St & Broadway at 11a. Parade steps off at Blanche Sims Elementary School (465 E Jackson St, Lake Orion, MI 48362). If you would like to participate in the parade, please contact Tom Allport at 248-202-6198. These events are all hosted by American Legion Post 233 – Charlton-Polan Post.

Troy Memorial Day Ceremony
Troy Memorial Day Ceremony – at Troy City Hall. The City of Troy is holding their Memorial Day Ceremony at 10a at Veterans Memorial Plaza in front of City Hall. Join others to honor fallen men and women who served our country to ensure our freedom with memorializing speeches, music and reflection. The ceremony also includes raising of the colors by the Troy Police Department Honor Guard, and the laying of a Memorial Wreath. The public is welcome to attend. Down Home Days Shelby Twp Carnival – Down Home Days to Knights Park & Pavilion on 21 Mile Rd in
Shelby Twp. The carnival is hosted by Shelby Twp. The return of the annual festival will feature live entertainment, carnival rides, an outdoor movie night, Lions Club Beer Tent, and more.

Troy Community Center Toddler Open Play
Troy Community Center Toddler Open Play at the Fitness Center – (248-524-3484). Free for fitness members
or purchase a Day Pass. New opportunity for the youngest patrons to work on gross motor and socialization skills, while burning off energy in the cold-weather months. The gym will have a variety of age appropriate toys to ride, push, or explore. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an individual aged 16 or older. Drop-in, no advance registration required. Free for fitness members, or purchase a day pass. Children under 3 are free. Fitness Center pass and membership info. Hosted by Troy Recreation.

Full Moon Fridays Farmington Hills – Enjoy the evening air as you head into Heritage Park after dark at a Full
Moon Friday Night Hike. Listen for nocturnal animals, observe the night sky, and heighten your senses along the way. Cost is $5 per person. Pre-registration required.
