Down Home Days Shelby Twp Carnival 2026 hours, carnival info, and entertainment schedule for the return of Down Home Days to the old K-Mart Parking lot on the NW Corner of 23 Mile Road and Van Dyke in Shelby Twp.
Down Home Days is hosted by the Shelby Township Community Relations Department. and also serves as a fundraiser for the Shelby Township Lions Club. 2023 marked the return of the festival for the first time in more than 20 years. We’re happy to see it return for 2026 too.
Shelby Township Down Home Days has a NEW location for 2026 – The Festival RETURNS to its 2023 origin at Knight’s Park on 21 Mile Road. The vast parking lot at 23 Mile Road and Van Dyke (the old K-Mart parking lot) was the home of the 2025 carnival for 1 year only. The festival was hosted in 2023 & 2024 at Knight’s Park on 21 Mile Road.

Down Home Days Shelby Twp Carnival 2026
The return of the annual festival will feature a carnival midway. Previous editions of this event also featured a Beer Tent and live entertainment hosted by the Shelby Twp Lions Club but were unable to late scheduling concerns in putting this event together. This years event takes place from Friday, May 22, 2026 and runs through Monday, May 25, 2026.
