Indian Springs Metropark Earth Day Camp – Day camp for kids will cover the basics of reduce, reuse, recycle. Campers will learn to be more conscious visitors in the parks and in nature. Enjoy lots of fun projects and crafts. Please bring a lunch and wear clothes that can get messy. Ages 7+. $40 per person. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 248-625-7280. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. You can purchase an annual pass HERE.
MetroBarks Dog Walking Club at Indian Springs Metropark – Prepare to walk between one to three miles along our paved trail, with stops along the way for your pups to sniff, explore and rest. Dogs are required to remain on a 6-foot leash. Please be prepared to clean up your pet’s waste. If your dog is having a bad day or displaying aggressive behaviors, you may be asked to leave the program early. Ages 8+. $3 per child / $5 per adult. Indian Springs Metropark Butterfly Walk – Learn about these amazing insects and the role they play as pollinators. Then journey through the prairie to search for the variety of native plants that make Indian Springs Metropark a great butterfly habitat, and hopefully see some of the butterflies themselves. You’ll be able to take home some seeds to grow a pollinator-friendly space in your own yard. All ages. $3 per child / $5 per adult / under 2 FREE. Indian Springs Metropark Great Skeleton Scavenger Hunt – Grab your family, friends and your courage and come find these skeletons in The Great Skeleton Scavenger Hunt. Your first stop is the Environmental Discovery Center where you will pick up your skeleton scavenger hunt map and form. Then head out on the nature trails to spot as many skeletons as you can. Remember to pay attention to what you see them doing. Bring your scavenger hunt form back to the Environmental Discovery Center to see if you won a prize. All Ages. FREE event.
