Mwindo – Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit presents MWINDO, a central African folktale full of trials and tribulations, heroic beings, fantastical creaters and puppets developed by Detroit Puppet Company in collaboration with Mosaic’s young artists. Guests that arrive 45 minutes before showtime for a special make-and-take puppet workshop. This is a FREE event.
Berkley Art Bash is in downtown Berkley. Art, music and food lovers will find a diverse assortment of photographs, garden art, jewelry, pottery, wearables, paintings, gourmet offerings, live music and more in beautiful downtown Berkley.
Kids will have fun with craft projects, giant chalk the walk space, free face painting and balloon sculptures.
There will be free parking and many shops will be hosting sidewalk sales & offering up additional entertainment & activities throughout the day.
Art Bash is a free event that takes place along 12 Mile Road between Wakefield and Tyler streets.

Kensington Metropark Fireworks – The annual fireworks display will start at dusk. The Huron-Clinton Metroparks fireworks festival, bringing together so much fun and excitement. Tens of thousands of our neighbors gather together – over picnics and under the stars – to enjoy this celebration of our American Independence. A Metroparks vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. Vehicle permits are on sale NOW. You can pick one up at metroparks.com OR visit your local Metropark today.
