Southfield Touch-a-Truck – Sensory sensitive hour is from 1p-2p (reduced lighting and sound). Big trucks little trucks, emergency vehicles, demonstrations, drones, and more. Hosed by the City of Southfield.
FREE Summer Shindig – Catalpa Oaks County Park Enjoy an evening of fun at Catalpa Oaks County Park. Activities include inflatables, a climbing wall, zip line, face painting, balloon artists and more. In addition, there will be a free concert from 7:30p-9p followed by a showing of the movie “Family Camp” at 9p. Food trucks will have hot dogs, snow cones, popcorn and more for sale from 6p-9p. No registration is needed, just come out and have fun. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.
Wint Nature Center Puddle Jumper Series – at Wint Nature Center at Independence Oaks County Park 248-625-6473. Children ages 3-6 can enjoy nature fun as they increase their love for the great outdoors. A naturalist will engage children with a story, nature talk and related activity. Each child will receive a craft kit to take and make at home. This series meets the second Friday of each month. Cost: $4/child. Call 248-858-0916 weekdays to register. Heritage Park Hay Day – The Annual Farmington Hills Hay Day will happen at Heritage Park from 5p – 8p. Hot Dogs, hay rides, pumpkin painting and more. This is a FREE event. Hayrides and pumpkin decorating require a separate fee. Hayrides can be booked via pre-registration.
