West Bloomfield Easter Spring Fling Flashlight Egg Hunt – For ages 7-12. Bring a flashlight and basket to carry away all your goodies. Come at 7:30 p if you wish to participate in the train ride and the petting zoo. Event will begin when it is totally dark (approximately 8:30p). This event will go rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Winter or rain boots highly recommended. *IF not sold out in advance, on-site registration will be $10 cash only. Food Trucks & FREE Family Fun – The event features a variety of Food Trucks and Free entertainment for the family including stilt walkers, magicians, balloon twisters, and music in the Festival Park. Paint Creek Center for the Arts will be in Festival Park giving out complimentary take-away potted flower plants, to decorate at home, to the first 100 kids in attendance. Additionally, a variety of stores will be featuring specials & sips throughout the day while offering assistance as you look to find that perfect gift for mom. Telly’s Greenhouse will be selling hanging baskets and porch pots onsite. Food trucks include – Don Armando’s Taqueria, Little Donut Factory, General Dogs, D’Vine Cookies. This is a FREE event. Italian Kitchen will be offering a lovely brunch featuring made-to-order scramblers and hand-crafted cocktails and a dinner menu with endless pasta options. Jagged Fork has an unlimited selection of breakfast and brunch options from pancakes to French toast to omelets & skillets for a perfect way to start the day. Maybe dinner is the way to go. West Bloomfield Preschool Open House – from 9a-1p & 4p-6p. Open House for The Sarah & Irving Pitt Early Childhood Center / The J Detroit. The preschool accepts children as young as newborns up to pre-K four-year-olds. In the coming academic year, enrichment program offerings include gym, music, cooking, Hebrew, and Judaic classes. As an added incentive, this year the $100 enrollment fee is being waived for new students to help reduce the overall cost, and new families that sign up by Sept. 1 will get two weeks of free school. West Bloomfield Parks Letters to Santa event (half-hour sessions begin at 11a) – at West Bloomfield Twp Recreation Activities Center. Don’t mail your letter to Santa when you can drop it off in person. Meet Santa, give him your letter, take a family picture and he will have a cookie for you. The event is held completely outdoors and the photo backdrop is nature themed.
