Loving Earth, Loving All – Earth Day Celebration – The event will offer free native flower seedlings, local seeds, information on invasive species, what to plant, pollinators, a tour of the ‘deer resistant’ garden, activities for youth, and more. To learn more about the event email office@
Waterford Earth Day Clean-Up – at Various Waterford Parks. Parks and Rec will supply each park with garbage bags and cleanup equipment. Call 248-674-5441 to sign up for a park. Royal Oak Earth Day Fair – A rally and fair with dozens of displays by environmental and conservation groups. Hosted by turnoaklandcountygreen.com.
Indian Springs Metropark Earth Day Camp – Day camp for kids will cover the basics of reduce, reuse, recycle. Campers will learn to be more conscious visitors in the parks and in nature. Enjoy lots of fun projects and crafts. Please bring a lunch and wear clothes that can get messy. Ages 7+. $40 per person. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 248-625-7280. Troy Stage Nature Center Earth Day Celebration – 86 Plastic will give a short program to highlight that less than 5% of what we send to recycling is truly repurposed. She will be presenting ways to replace common household (plastic) items for a more sustainable swap. Learn how to reduce waste, reuse what you have, and even save money. Wixom Free Summer Concerts – Wixom will be hosting free summer concerts at Sibley Park in Downtown Wixom on Thursdays that coincide with the Wixom Summer Family Fun Days events that run 6p-7:30p.
Lyon Twp Free Summer Concerts – Music on the Grand summer concert series at Inspiration Park on Grand River in New Hudson, Michigan. Enjoy FREE family fun entertainment at Inspiration Park on select Wednesday evenings this summer from 6p-8p. In addition to live music, a food truck and kids activities will be on-site. Bring your blanket/chair and plan a relaxing and fun evening with the community. Music acts will reflect a wide variety of genres.
