Waterford Earth Day Clean-Up – at Various Waterford Parks. Parks and Rec will supply each park with garbage bags and cleanup equipment. Call 248-674-5441 to sign up for a park. Clinton Twp Fireworks – at 6p (fireworks start at 10p). Preshow fun (fun for kids, live music) begins at 6p. Food vendors available on-site. Shuttle service and additional parking available at Erie Elementary, 9th Grade Center and St Paul of Tarsus Church. For people with loved ones interred at Resurrection Cemetery, the cemetery is extending hours on 7/4 & 7/5 to allow for visitors to share the 7/5 fireworks with their loved one. Oakland County Parks Community Garage Sale – Find hidden treasures for sale or sell items you no longer need during the Community Garage Sale. Attendance for buyers is free. Oakland County residents, community members, direct vendors and Mom2Mom sellers are welcome to register for a booth to sell items. Registration is open now. Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Dog Swim – at Waterford Oaks County Park. All dogs owners must show valid Michigan dog license and proof of current vaccinations at the time of the event. Dogs swim by weight category. Three swims. Noon-12:50p – 70lbs plus, 1p-1:50p – 31lbs-69lbs, 2p-2:50p – 30lbs and under. Pre-registration cost is $10/dog and includes admission, contest entry and one 50-minute swim session. On-site registration is $15/dog if availability allows. To register, call 248-858-0916. Trail Life Waterford Open House – Trail Life is a Christ-Centered, Boy-Focused mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to the heart of a boy. Established on timeless values derived from the Bible and set in the context of outdoor adventure, boys from Kindergarten through 12th grade are engaged in a Troop setting by male mentors where they are challenged to grow in character, understand their purpose, serve their community, and develop practical leadership skills to carry out the mission for which they were created.
This year’s planned outings include camping, hiking, Indoor rock climbing, a planetarium visit, and more!
