White Lake Winter Carnival – WLCL – at White Lake Inn (248-887-1818). Hosted by the White Lake Citizens League Winter Carnival. The annual winter festival has fireworks, a broomball tournament, kids activities, and more. More info…schedule of events.
Indian Springs Metropark Earth Day Camp – Day camp for kids will cover the basics of reduce, reuse, recycle. Campers will learn to be more conscious visitors in the parks and in nature. Enjoy lots of fun projects and crafts. Please bring a lunch and wear clothes that can get messy. Ages 7+. $40 per person. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 248-625-7280. BRAVO Italian Kitchen will also be hosting a Mobile Bar for guests who would like to purchase alcoholic beverages to enjoy in Festival Park during the performances. Donut Be Afraid of Bugs – at 11a & 6p. Educational fun and a Donut truck will be at the VoRH ALL SUMMER. Nadia aka “The Bug Lady” will give you an up-close and educational experience with a variety of bugs. Learn about why these creatures are to be respected for their role in the ecosystem, and not to be feared. You will get the chance to learn about many different exotic insects, touch a tarantula, come face to face with a praying mantis, hold the largest species of millipede in the world, and much more!
