Learn what the different elements of their harness do and how they work together. When the horses are dressed and ready, you’ll be all set for a relaxing hayride along the farm’s wooded trails. Ferndale Free Movie Nights – Downtown Ferndale MI hosts their Movies in the Parks summer movie series at Schiffer Park this summer with movies at various Ferndale Parks. Bring your lawn chairs and snacks and enjoy a memorable evening under the stars in Downtown Ferndale or a local Ferndale Park. Movie nights are held at Schiffer Park, Wilson Park, and Martin Road Park! Outdoor movie nights in Ferndale this summer begin at 5:30p with pre-show family fun entertainment. Movies start at dusk.

Kensington Metropark Fireworks
Kensington Metropark Fireworks in Milford – The annual fireworks display will start at dusk. Tens of thousands of neighbors gather together – over picnics and under the stars – to enjoy this celebration of our American Independence. A Metroparks vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. Vehicle permits are on sale NOW. You can pick one up at metroparks.com OR visit your local Metropark today. Downtown Milford 4th of July Parade – Downtown Milford. Due to road closures, this year’s event will take a new scenic route. The parade will begin at 11a on Cabinet Street and will proceed east on Commerce Street to Main Street. Then, will head south on Main Street to end at the entrance of Central Park. For the best parade view, set up a seat along the stretch of Commerce Street from Cabinet to Main Street. You can expect to see proud veterans, color guards, marching bands and more proudly make their way through the route while the community cheers them on. Hosted by Downtown Milford and the Milford Historical Society.
Kensington Metropark Blue Moon on the Beach Concert – Dress in your 90s and early 2000s best for a night of live (early 2000s) Pop music under the stars. You only get this opportunity once in a Blue Moon, so let’s do it up. All ages. FREE Events. No pre-registration required.
