Art and Apples 2016 Apple Pie and Dessert Contest 1st Place winning recipe in the dessert category – Caramel Cheesecake Apple Pie. This recipe won 1st place in the dessert category at this year’s Art and Apples Fest for Sujaree Nammechai from Oxford, Michigan!

Caramel Cheesecake Apple Pie

Caramel Cheesecake Apple Pie – Cheesecake Ingredients

CRUST

1 ½ cup – Graham Cracker Crumbs
1/3 cup – Sugar
1/3 cup – Melted butter

DIRECTIONS – Mix everything together. Press crust on bottom of spring-form pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 350F.

CHEESECAKE

20 oz – Cream cheese
1/8 cup – Granulated sugar
1/8 cup – Brown sugar
2 Tbsp – Flour
2 – Eggs
5 oz – Kraft Caramel
2 Tbsp – Heavy whipping cream

DIRECTIONS – Melt caramel and heavy cream in saucepan until completely combine. In a stand mixer, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add flour and eggs. Add caramel mixture. Blend until incorporated. Bake at 300F for 1 ½ hours. Cool completely.

TOPPING

¼ cup – Flour
3 Tbsp – Brown sugar
2 Tbsp – Granulated sugar
¼ tsp – Cinnamon
¼ tsp – Salt
3 Tbsp – Butter, soften

DIRECTIONS – Mix together

FILLING

3-5 lbs – Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
½ cup – Sugar
¼ cup – Flour
½ Tsp – Cinnamon
¼ tsp – Salt

DIRECTIONS – Mix together. Put apple mixture on top of cool cheesecake. Put topping mixture on top. Bake at 375F for 45-60 minutes.
