The Celtic Knot Leonard review, hours, pics, and menu info. The Celtic Knot is located in Leonard Michigan off Rochester Rd where Rochester Rd and Lakeville Rd. come to a “T.” The highlight of The Celtic Knot is the upper level outdoor deck with a view of Lakeville Lake.
The inside of The Celtic Knot has a warm, wood feeling like a log cabin up north. There are two levels with a bar on the main level. You can go up to the upper level where there is additional seating, as well as the entrance to the outdoor patio that faces the beautiful waters of Lakeville Lake. The view epitomizes summer relaxation.

The Celtic Knot is known for their Irish food, but it’s also a great biker stop. It’s a beautiful ride making it a nice destination point on our favorite Oakland County motorcycle roads. And, once you’re there, you can’t beat the view making it an all around enjoyable trip.
The Celtic Knot menu includes a variety of foods with a traditional Irish theme (and Scottish) E.g. the Hand Pie appetizer which is stuffed with seasoned ground angus and vegetables in a Guinness gravy wrapped in flaky pastry, or Scotch Eggs which are Hard-boiled eggs wrapped in seasoned sausage breaded and fried, served with Irish cheese and lager sauce. The food isn’t faux Irish either. Entrees include dishes such as Skellig Macaroni which is homemade Macaroni tossed in a creamy sauce made from imported Irish Skellig and sharp cheddar cheese, topped with seasoned bread crumbs and baked. You will also find Scottish Salmon, Fish and Chips, Bang Bang Shrimp, and more traditional bar foods such as pizza, burgers, sliders, sandwiches, salads, soups, and an extensive beer list as well as signature cocktails, twisted crafts, and wine.
The food we ordered was fresh, delicious and served hot. The service, unfortunately, was incredibly slow and not top notch. I am hoping this was a poorly planned scheduling or a case of someone calling in sick, rather than a common occurrence. But… I’ve run into others that have had service problems there. Staffing issues tend to subside and, again, I’m hoping our experience was irregular.
Still, it’s sometimes hard to tell if The Celtic Knot is a great motorcycle, roadside restaurant with an awesome rooftop deck or a great Irish place. Part of me wishes they would choose a side. All of me hopes they can clean up their issues with the service because the food and the location are excellent.
