Chapman’s Mill Restaurant Rochester Hills CLOSED

Chapman’s Mill Restaurant Rochester Hills CLOSED – Update: Chapman’s Mill has closed since writing this review. Chapman’s Mill opened in 2009 when it took over the space of the old Taco Laco Rochester Hills.

Of course it’s no surprise that my husband is always on the hunt for a good burger joint, so were happy to stumble upon Chapman’s Mill. When we walked in we found it was far more than just a burger place, it had a fantastic atmosphere. Very casual and intimate.

The Chapman’s Mill menu had plenty to offer, ranging from seafood to sandwiches, including Black Angus burgers. The variety was great. I’m kind of a soup fan, too so I loved the unique options – Creamy Chicken and Artichoke, Shrimp and Corn Chowder… The kids’ menu had 9 different entrees to choose from. One was a pleasant surprise – where else can you go and find a Surf n Turf (filet medallions + 2 shrimp and fries) option on a kids’ menu, and for $5.50?

My husband ordered one of the infamous Chapman’s Mill burgers and loved it. The fries that come with the sandwiches are the best thin cut fries I have ever had. The burger was a perfect combination of tender and juicy. Not too fatty, not too dry. I had a chicken panini which I enjoyed because I LOVE red peppers and this had a unique red pepper pesto spread. Next time at Chapmans Mill I might opt to have no mayo and unbuttered bread just so I can taste red pepper galore!

Some day, I’d like to go back and check out the Chapman’s Mill sliders. I think I would have a tough time choosing since they have five different kinds! How would I pick between burger, pulled pork, veggie, buffalo chicken, and rueben?

The management at Chapman’s works hard each month to come up with great incentives for everyone to come in, including a Chapman’s Mill kids eat free night, a ladies night, etc.

Finally, a big shout out to the Chapman’s Mill staff which was incredibly kind and genuine.
