Cranbrook Institute of Science Treasure! Exhibit – review, pics, and info for the summer exhibit hosted by the Cranbrook Institute of Science from May 28, 2022 through Sunday, September 4, 2022.

This family-friendly experience features dozens of hands-on activities and interactives that explores both the past and present of treasure and treasure hunting. Treasure! has seven thematic areas, including underwater treasure, treasures in the attic, buried treasure, gold rushes, protecting treasure, treasure in popular culture, and the modern treasure hunt. A dozen hands-on activities allow the visitor to try tools of treasure hunting and investigate treasures.

From the depths of the sea, to treasure buried underground, each section will allow guests the opportunity to investigate their very own treasure with tools used by today’s treasure hunters. Cranbrook Institute of Science will also feature artifacts found all over the world from its own private collection.

Treasure! is open during regular museum hours and has an additional cost, $3 – $5 per person, in addition to general museum admission.
