The grounds are very peaceful and a great place to bring kids and pets. You can enjoy the day walking the trails, viewing the ponds, having a picnic, and touring the nature center when open. There is also a cute little gazebo near the nature center to have a seat, take a break and enjoy the fresh air and views. The Nature Center is also a great place for meetings – indoor meeting room rentals are available. No alcohol is allowed on the premises.
The large pavilion is available to rent for parties. To reserve the pavilion or meeting room contact Waterford Parks and Recreation at 248-674-5441.
Occasionally, DPNC will host season events for families. You can follow their Facebook page for updates and announcements.
NOTE – For the 2020 season, the interpretive nature center has been closed, but is typically open from May – September.
