Fancy Pencils Kids Art Studio Summer Camps – Bloomfield Hills Summer Art Classes for kids and Summer Camps for kids ages 5-11 years old with fun weekly themes. Children will enjoy using a variety of media including colored pencils, markers, crayons, and watercolor paints.
Fancy Pencils Art Studio Summer Camps 2025
This summer’s theme is the AFRICA’s BEST SAFARI ART CAMP. The children will visit a lot of African animals: Lions, Elephants, African Women, and construct a Nbedele house… in this week-long art camp.
Children will also learn about primary colors, secondary colors, and complementary colors. They talk about warm and cool colors and how to make tints and shades. Mrs. Jasmin will teach them how to hold a brush, which brush to take, and how to load a watercolor brush.

AFRICA’s BEST SAFARI ART CAMP
5 Days – July 21 – 25, 10-12pm, 6+
Africa – the second largest continent (after Asia), covering about one-fifth of the total land surface of Earth. Incredible animals can be found in this great wilderness of savanna, deserts, and ocean. Kids will take a closer look at the animals and people that live there. Let’s check out those Lions, Elephants, African Women and construct a Nbedele house. Register HERE.
Fancy Pencils Kids Art Studio Summer Art Classes for Kids
Sessions are held weekly throughout the summer with FUN new themes each week for elementary school-age children. Instructor Jasmin Langsch provides individualized, specialized instruction so the following sessions are limited to 5 children per session. The following sessions are: 3 Days $130 , 4 Days $170, 5 Days $200 and include all materials, instruction, and supplies.

Flip Flops, Flamingos, Sandcastles, Surfboard… Step-by Step the children will learn fundamental and more advanced drawing and painting skills, while exploring a variety of media including markers, watercolors, and crayons, and colored pencils. Register HERE

Join Mrs Jasmin as she follows ocean animals into the deep blue sea. The children will draw, paint, and color Crabs, Turtles, Fish, Octopus, Jellyfish, Puffer Fish, Sea Otter, and Sea Horses. Register HERE

ANCIENT EGYPT ART CAMP
4 Days – August 4 – 7, 10-12pm, 7+
Sarcophagus Drawing, Egyptian Landscape, Egyptian Boat
Art was already spectacular thousands of years ago. Dive with Mrs. Jasmin into ancient times. In this camp, students will learn about Ancient Art. They will create works of art inspired by that epoch. The children will even learn a few facts about the epoch. Register HERE

FAMOUS ARTIST’s ART CAMP
4 Days – August 18 – 21, 10-12pm, 7+
Van Gogh: Starry Night, Pablo Picasso: Le Coq
Mix education with fun! In this art camp, students will learn about 2 famous artists. They will create works of art inspired by that master. The children will learn a few facts about the artist’s life and explore the art techniques used by that artist. Register HERE

ABOUT Fancy Pencils Art Studio
Fancy Pencils – Kids Art Studio in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan practices a guided teaching philosophy. In her cozy studio, she has space for 5 children. All children will learn fundamental and more advanced drawing and watercolor painting, while exploring a variety of media including colored pencils, markers, crayons, and watercolors. Students will get lots of individual attention due to the studio’s small class size. Drawing can be exhausting due to the concentration, attention to detail, and focus it demands from the brain and eyes. Because drawing is usually a constant learning experience, brains tend to feel tired when processing new information. Mrs. Jasmin always incorporates brain brakes in her camps. It helps the children to refocus, boosts their brain function and increases their productivity.
