Flint Children’s Museum review, pics, hours, and info. Built as a hands-on experimental learning center, FCM hosts more than 40,000 visitors a year. It’s conveniently located on University Ave (between Kettering University & U of M Flint) in Flint, Michigan.
The Flint Children’s Museum is the place for children to explore and grow through hands on learning while having a blast. With a variety of exhibition spaces, weekly activities, and even an outdoor play area and garden, children can learn and interact with all the wonders of the world.
Seasonal Exhibition Space
The Discovery Zone is a seasonally changing immersive exhibition space with past themes including Day at the Beach, The Great Sticker Experiment, What Happens at Night, and so much more.
Permanent Exhibition Spaces
These spaces are dedicated to the curiosities of science or to inspiring creativity through imaginative play. There is even an area for those 3 and under to safely discover.

The Flint Children’s Museum’s outside play area is filled with weekly activities all throughout summer and is also home to a butterfly habitat, Edible Flint garden, and water rockets.
Museum Rentals / Field Trips / Birthday Party Info
You can even rent the museum for birthday parties and groups or rent out our big blue blocks for a community event to create a “pop up museum” of your own.
Visits are easy for schools and other education centers with activates specific to age or subject. The Flint Children’s Museum even cleans up after.

FCM Family Memberships / Admission Info
Family membership can be purchased for free admission all year round as well as some extra bonuses during events, special programming, or rentals for only $85.The Flint Children’s Museum also offers special prices throughout the year with the Summer Fun Passes from June 1-August 31 for one low price. Members receive unlimited visits to the FCM all year long for children (0-18) in immediate family and any two adults (parents, grandparents, babysitters, etc.) PLUS discounts to LEGOLAND, SEA LIFE, the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum, Sloan Museum, and Longway Planetarium.
General Admission
Admission is $8 per person or $6 for groups of 20 or more with prior reservations. Admission Gift Cards are available all year long.
