Free Women’s Self Defense Classes 2025
Each Fall, The Oakland County Sheriff’s department provides FREE 4-hour self defense classes for women at various locations throughout Oakland County. The team of instructors from the Sheriff’s Office have been hosting classes and engaging women across Oakland County since 2009 when Sheriff Bouchard had the idea to bring self defense to women for free throughout the county.
These courses are in high demand and it is recommended that you register for them as early as possible. If you cannot attend a class, it is asked that you remove your name from the registration list.
You can register for these classes each Fall. Here’s the link to the FREE Women’s Self Defense 2025 classes hosted by Sheriff Bouchard and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department.
Written permission is needed for participants 14-17 years of age. Space is limited-first come/first served. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Please arrive at 8:45a to ensure a prompt 9a start.
OPTIONAL DONATIONS – This year, The Oakland County Sheriffs Department is accepting donations on behalf of HAVEN. Needed items – Laundry detergent. laundry pods, laundry dryer sheets, bathroom cleaning supplies, kitchen cleaning supplies.
