Gluten Free Salmon Cakes Recipe – Salmon cakes instead of crab cakes! Ingredients include cooked salmon, real mayo, ground rice chex, green onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper.
I’ve never made crab cakes before, and I had some salmon left over so I did a little experimenting and came up with these salmon cakes. I kept this recipe simple.
All of this was completely made up to how I thought it might work, so use it as a base and make these your own.
Gluten Free Salmon Cakes Recipe Ingredients
- 8 oz. cooked salmon
- 1/4 c. real mayo
- 1/4 c. ground rice chex (I made these gluten free; you can probably substitute bread crumbs)
- 1 green onion diced
- salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste
- dash cayenne pepper
Gluten Free Salmon Cakes Recipe Directions
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Add more mayo if necessary to keep the mixture together. Divide mixture into quarters. Make four patties and saute in a fry pan using hot oil, browning both sides. Serve with your favorite sauce.
