Insalata Troy MI Review and menu info. Insalata is a sandwich, soup, and salad restaurant located on Big Beaver Rd in Troy Michigan. Insalata’s salad bar boasts over 40 different toppings and 15 different dressings.
In addition to the fresh salad bar at Insalata Troy, you can also select among soups, baked potatoes that are topped to make them a meal, paninis and sandwiches. And if you’d rather, you can always go with the Chicago Style hot dog. For the sweet tooth, Insalata Troy offers frozen yogurt, milk shakes and malts, flurries and fruit smoothies. The kids menu has your choice of a grilled cheese sandwich, a deli sandwich, PB&J, or a hot dog. All are served with juice and a small frozen yogurt.
Insalata Troy is a restaurant that was recommended to me. I was excited to hear about the fresh sandwiches and 40 topping salad bar. Maybe expectations on my part were a bit too high. I was expecting a massive, New York Deli-type atmosphere and menu only to see Insalata have a very limited menu (5 types of sandwiches, 7 Paninis). Small menu aside, Insalata is very clean and offers healthy choices. I like what Insalata does, I just found myself wishing for more choices ala Star Deli in Southfield or Vineyards Deli in Farmington Hills.
