Kensington Metropark Farm Center – Review, pics, hours, and info for the Farm Center at Kensington Park in Milford, MI. If you’re entering Kensington Metropark from Kensington Rd, follow the man park road to easily follow the signage to the Farm Center.
The Kensington Metropark Farm Center features chickens, sheep, cattle, draft horses, goats, and more. The animal pens, stalls, and surrounding grounds are impeccably clean and the surrounding grounds are extremely well-maintained. Visiting farms or local cider mills that have animals is always fun but can be discouraging if children (or their parents) see the animals’ homes are dirty and dirty or the animals themselves are look unkept. This IS NOT the case at the Farm Center. The animals have expansive areas to roam and look extremely clean and well-fed!

The entire farm center area is also extremely easy to navigate. In addition to visiting the animals, Kensington guests are welcome to explore the 150-year old barn which features educational displays upstairs. Guests can visit the Farmhouse Grille to enjoy a snack of yummy concession stand favorites. The farm even hosts Festival Market three times a year, the farm’s own version of a farmer’s market complete with produce, goods, and fun activities.
Speaking of activities, the Farm Center hosts camps, school groups, homeschool groups, and scout programs. The barn can even host large groups and birthday parties for kids. In addition to the MANY seasonal events, the farm also hosts wintertime sleigh rides and hay rides through the spring, summer, and fall months. Hayrides & Sleigh rides take place on weekends from noon-4p.
The cost to visit the Farm Center is FREE with your daily or yearly Metroparks vehicle permit.
A Metroparks vehicle entry permit is required for access to the Farm Center. Vehicle permits are on sale NOW. You can pick one up at metroparks.com OR visit your local Metropark today.
