Lake St Clair Metropark Nature Center – review, pics, hours, and info for the Nature Center inside Lake St Clair Metropark in Harrison Twp, MI. If you’re entering the park from Metro Parkway, simply follow that main road in and the nature center building is located on the right.
The Nature Center is situated near expansive wetlands near the lake. There are numerous animals and interactive displays throughout the building and the building itself is located on trails that run along the marsh and wetlands of the park. The Nature Center is the perfect location to begin any nature hiking at the park.

The Nature Center, like the other Metroparks that have nature centers, host home school programs, scout programs, school trips, and more. Park interpreters are always on-hand to provide info whether you are part of a school group, or simply visiting with your kids.
The nature center hosts a variety of programs for kids and adults throughout the calendar year. Popular events include evening Voyageur Canoe rides, morning in the Marsh canoes, summer camps for kids, story-time events for kids as young as preschool, and seasonal events that include Santa Claus & fall-time fun.
A Metroparks vehicle entry permit is required for access to the Nature Center. Vehicle permits are on sale NOW. You can pick one up at metroparks.com OR visit your local Metropark today.
