Legoland Florida Review – Pics – Video

Legoland Florida Review – Pics – Video – Legoland Florida is an amusement park that is a definite must-see for Lego lovers and anyone who can appreciate Lego creations and family fun.

Legoland has many different activities and rides. A lot of it is for a younger market but kids up to age 12 have a lot to choose from to have nice time.

There are a couple different shows – a water skiing show, and a comedy acrobatic show. The water skiing show is impressive and pleases all ages. The comedy acrobatic show is entertaining for younger children, but still tolerable for the older kids.

The rides at Legoland are pink knuckle fun. It’s great because the young kids can go on the rides and get some roller coaster experience, and the older kids and parents can enjoy a more relaxed and fun roller coaster experience (as compared to the daredevil levels you find at Cedar Point). There is also a driving school for kids (two schools – one for under six and one for six and older). The driving school has “Lego” vehicles kids can drive on through an actual course. They attend the driving school before getting on the course, then once it’s completed, they can purchase their driver’s license as a keepsake. There’s also a boating school but it’s a little less involved.

Probably the highlight of the Legoland amusement park in Florida is Miniland USA. You could easily spend a solid half hour plus just walking through and admiring the different creations that are full models of cities across the United States – the White House, New York skyscrapers, Seattle’s Space Needle, San Francisco and so much more! It’s impossible not to admire the workmanship and amount of detail put into building this. You’ll also come across the Star Wars creations located on the outskirts of Miniland.

There are some indoor exhibits at Legoland Florida as well. At the Imagination Zone, kids can build and race racecars, play video games, attend a 15-minute session of creative building at the Hero Factory, take part in a mosaic tile activity, and take pics at the character meet and greet.

Legoland Florida has a store located near the entrance that is a mini figure store. The kids love being able to build their own mini figures. Each child picks the head, torso, legs, hair, and accessory. There were many pieces to pick from to make all sorts of creations. And, of course, there are many other gift shops with a huge selection of Lego products available for purchase.

The concessions at Legoland Florida include pricey park food as expected but a very decent quality. My kids enjoyed grilled paninis while I happily ate a healthy salad made with fresh greens and vegetables. It’s nice that they had options available.

Legoland Florida also has a water park, but it was not open when we were visiting. Hours are available on their website – florida.legoland.com.
