HISTORY
LPS replaces the original West Bloomfield Aquatic Center which shut its doors at the end of the 2017 summer season. The old aquatics center featured a year-round indoor pool and 260,000 outdoor pool with zero depth entry. The facilities began to age and became very costly for tax payers to maintain. In June of 2017, WB Parks released online surveys for public input on what should be done to improve the property. The renovation was originally scheduled to ready for public use by 2019. Delays, and the 2020 pandemic, delayed the grand opening until the May 2021 summer season.
