Lyon Oaks Dog Park review, pics, hours, and info. Lyon Oaks is located within Lyon Oaks County Park on Pontiac Trail in Wixom, MI. Lyon Oaks is operated and maintained by the Oakland County Parks division of Oakland County.
While many local dog parks consist of only a fenced-in area and a dog waste bag station, Lyon Oaks goes the extra mile for amenities. It features 13 acres of fenced-in manicured field, benches, a pavilion shelter with picnic tables, water fountain (for humans and pooches) and, yes, a dog waste bag station. Like it’s sister dog park, Orion Oaks in Lake Orion, Lyon Oaks has a separate enclosure area for small canines.

Dogs visiting Lyon Oaks must be older than 4 months of age and must wear a license at all times. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations. Oakland County Parks hosts pet vaccination clinics each year throughout Oakland County Parks’ dog parks throughout the county where dogs (and cats) can be licensed and vaccinated.
