Lyon Oaks County Park in Wixom, MI review, pics, hours, info, and Lyon Oaks Dog Park info. Lyon Oaks Park has over 1000 acres, many of which preserve wetlands within the park. The park is most-known for its pristine dog park (Lyon Oaks Dog Park), and 18-hole golf course which features a modern banquet facilities and a driving range. Lyon Oaks is operated and maintained by the Oakland County Parks division of Oakland County.

The main road to Lyon Oaks will either lead you to the right toward the golf course / banquet center or continue you on the main road to the dog park / pavilion / sports fields section of the park. The dog park is impressive as is the wetlands preservation and the trails that take you through the scenic views. The pavilion shelter is clean and modest, smallish playground is nearby. Overall, I wouldn’t consider Lyon Oaks to be a destination park for families but it is a nice, quiet place to visit and the 6 mile trail system within the park is among the most beautiful in Oakland County. The dog park is the real star of this park though.
