Metroparks Night of the Dragon Festivals
Part medieval renaissance festival, part nature event, part sky-watching endeavor, and ALL fun… Night of the Dragon provides family fun for all ages.
METROPARKS EVENTS CALENDAR 2024
The Metroparks invites everyone to don their medieval costumes and enjoy live performances and entertainment throughout the evening. When the sun goes down, enjoy night sky viewing of the stars.
Kids can enjoy a stroll on the Dragon Trail, bouncers, crafts, and entertaining strolling performers throughout the evening. There will be costume contests for adults and for kids. Renaissance faire BBQ food offerings will be available for purchase as will non-alcohol beverages.
These are FREE events. No pre-registration is required. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. You can purchase an annual pass HERE.
Night of the Dragon Festival Schedule of Events 2024 ( Stony Creek)
“Hear ye, hear ye, dragons are descending over Stony Creek Metropark, and we’re calling all kings and queens, knights and peasants, princes and princesses and everyone in between to join us for a medieval themed festival! Enjoy live performances and entertainment, along with activities for children. Talk a walk through the Woods of the Ridge on the Torch Fire Trail, where you can gather around bonfires and enjoy a photo opp. which leads you to interesting opportunities such as henna tattoo, tarot reading, fun games and a Thor Hammer (only the worthy are able to pick it up), don’t forget to take a picture sitting in our Iron Throne. Live entertainers such as heavy armor knights, flame dancers, stilt walkers and musical acts will entertain you as well, so grab a drink at our dragon tavern and see what else may lurk in the Woods of the Ridge. Dress in your favorite medieval attire and bring the little ones in their costumes to add to the ambience.
Throughout the event there will be barbeque offerings and alcoholic beverages available for purchase.
Pre-registration is not required for the event.”
