FREE Michigan Bully Prevention Conference is coming to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak Michigan on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 7p-8p. This event is designed for parents AND family members and will be presented by Karuna Nain, Global Safety Manager for Facebook. The theme of conference is “Navigating the Social World With Your Teens – Insights from Facebook”
Michigan Bully Prevention Conference Topics Include
- Understanding the digital life of teens — what does research say?
- Introduction to Safety @ Facebook — brief overview of policies and tools
- Having a safety conversation with your teen — some tips to get you started
In an effort to help parents better understand how their children are using social media and to equip them with tools to keep kids safe online, the International Bullying Prevention Association (IBPA) is partnering with Facebook to host this FREE workshop.
“Informed parents are empowered parents,” said IBPA President Patti Agatston, Ph.D. “This event is designed for any adult who wants to help the children in their homes, schools or communities be safe and smart online.”
