Fall is my favorite season. The cider mills, high school football, college football, tailgating, and… of course, the beautiful fall colors. We started collecting fall foliage pics from Oakland County Moms readers in 2007 in addition to taking our own. Through the years, and many website updates, we’ve lost some of the pics along the way. Most of the fall foliage pics we received were VERY local. Usually one thinks of “up north” Michigan or the UP when they think of beautiful autumn leaves pics but these pics prove that you can see amazing fall colors right here in SE Michigan. This page will be updated numerous times this fall.

Fall colors in Southeast Michigan typically start around the third week in September and peak by the 2nd week of October.
