Monte Carlo Movie Review

Monte Carlo Movie Review – review of the Selena Gomez movie, Monte Carlo. I attended a pre-screening to review the new Selena Gomez movie, Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo, in theatres July 1, 2011, is about an ordinary girl – Grace (Selena Gomez) who has planned and looked forward to her high school graduation trip to Paris with her best friend for years. Her mother and step father throw a wrench into the plan by “surprising” her with another travel buddy, her not-so-close step sister.

Their tour to Monte Carlo is not what they expected and everything is far from perfect and ideal. So, things take a turn for the better when they miss the tour bus, get lost, and end up living like royalty all due to a case of mistaken identity which not only changes their trip completely, but their lives as well.

I had the opportunity to sit down and speak with Selena Gomez about Monte Carlo and find out more about her personally.

Monte Carlo has a great mix of comedy, romance, and suspense. It’s somewhat of a chick flick with a comedic value; not the laugh out loud funny kind, but more of an enjoyable and pleasant kind. I found myself waiting to see what would happen next. Monte Carlo flowed nicely and kept my interest throughout.

I enjoyed watching Selena Gomez in Monte Carlo. She is a very talented young lady and she truly shines in this movie. She plays the role of super sweet Grace, as well as the role of a spoiled English snob, Cordelia Winthrop Scott. She does an amazing job with both roles. I will be interviewing Selena Gomez next week and will post that interview here as well.

Monte Carlo with Selena Gomez is rated PG and is suitable for all ages. I would highly recommend the movie for the legions of young Selena Gomez fans! I hope this Monte Carlo movie review is helpful.
