Mounds Bars Recipe DIY – These homemade “Mounds” bars taste like the real deal (except that I did not use dark chocolate). I was inspired to try this homemade Mounds Bars recipe from a recipe I saw online (artandthekitchen.com). I modified the recipe a bit to suit dietary needs (gluten & dairy allergies).
These Mounds Bars are gluten free, dairy free, and have no added sugar! I made these as a semi-healthy treat for my challenging eating plan where it’s tough to find a dessert I can eat (in moderation). These imitation Mounds Bars are a great option, and my picky daughter ate more than I did. You can even throw in some almonds and make it an Almond Joy.

Refrigerate the coconut mixture until solid. Melt the chocolate chips and spread over the coconut. Wait for the chocolate to set and appear not shiny, then cut into squares. Refrigerate during warm temps. Otherwise, leave out at room temperature for a softer bar.
